Hello! My name is Claire Isabelle, and I'm a writer, a law student, and an interdisciplinary (read: unemployed) researcher. This website is both a repository for all my work and a creative outlet in its own right.

Over the years, like most people, I've grown frustrated by and bored of social media. In April 2025, I took a month-long break from my most used social media websites, and I learned a lot about myself. When I got back on social media, I found that my perceptions of the world were altered. I thought I would let myself be sucked back into it, letting it dissolve my skin so I could be once again returned to the soup of humanity. Instead, all I could think was, "This is all such loser shit." Since then, I've been looking to exist online in a fresher way, which is why I turned to Neocities.

You might find a kindred spirit if you like weird fiction, spirituality/esoteric/pagan shit, and Internet culture. I am adamently against niching down; I find it offensive on the soul-level. My perspective comes from my eccentricity!

Here are some of the projects I've been working on:

• I am currently writing a short story cycle whereby I write a short story for every hexagram of the I Ching. I'm doing this because I believe in the idea of 'practicing in public', and I also believe that the best way to get good at writing is to rapidly see stories to their conclusions, over and over again.
• I'm a law student, so I'm trying to learn the law while maintaining my dignity (it's more difficult than you think!).
• I've been in a long project learning philosophy, both for my own edification and for use in both writing and the law. I'm currently reading Spinoza's Ethics. I'm slowly working my way in the vague direction of Deleuze.
• I've been in Jungian analysis for about a year now, and I'm learning all kinds of things about myself I wasn't aware of. One of the biggest things I'm working on with myself is to hold myself in higher esteem and fixing the Mother wound.
• Finally, I'm working on learning web design so I can make this website betterer and coolerer!

When I'm not working on my projects, I love to read, play cozy video games, watch movies, TV, and anime, and whatever my hyperfixation du jour is. Right now, I'm hyperfixating on artificial intelligence and learning about the human design system. Past hyperfixations have included K-pop, Russian figure skating, Luigi Mangione, and the American education system.
